Kal Tire

Would not go back and would not recommend others go here. The wheel weights popped off loading them into the truck, the steel rims are very cheap and deform easy where the lug nut mating surface is. I’ve tried dealing with customer service and have not had any issues resolved, every time I go back there is something new to deal with. The Nokian tires work fine and the staff can be nice people so it’s not all bad.

Wow, just had 4 tires balanced. These tires were already mounted on rims, no pressure for timing, they didn't even have to remove them or replace them on the vehicle. Paid roughly 500 per hour to balance 4 loose tires. Guess they don't get my continued business. In an effort to align with your commitment to transparency in pricing and customer satisfaction, I felt it important to respond in an effort to share my perspective. You suggest that Kal Tire offers a flat fee for the service I received, and I am open to the possibility that there may be a misunderstanding. When I dropped off the wheels, I also requested and received a quote for a new set of winter tires for my vehicle. The quote I received for the full service included removing the wheels from my vehicle, dismounting the old tires, mounting the new tires, balancing them, and replacing the wheels on the vehicle. The quoted fee for this task was $20 per tire. In my initial review, I mentioned that the tires were already mounted on rims, and there was no need to remove or replace them on the vehicle. This essentially means that only the wheel balancing was performed. I was charged $30 per tire for the sole task of balancing my loose wheels, which is 150% of the cost for the same service that was quoted as part of the complete tire replacement service. I have attached images of both the quote and my invoice for your reference. It clearly shows the pricing difference between the full service (which includes balancing) and the standalone wheel balancing. The evidence in these documents demonstrates that the flat fee for the specific service I received is not consistent with the flat fee for the full tire replacement service. What may be of interest is that I immediately pointed out this irregularity in the pricing to your service representative. They too, appeared puzzled and sought clarification. After a quick discussion, possibly with a manager in the back office, the price was eventually lowered to what I ended up paying. I offered an apology for making them feel uncomfortable by pointing out the irregularity, as it still seems counterintuitive to pay more for less. Again, thank you for your time and for providing the local community with your continued service.

They had a technician driving my standard truck that did NOT know how to drive a standard, they also could not crack my wheel nuts to replace my tires. So I wasted two hours, drove 45 minutes and had someone UN-TRAINED grinding gears in my truck… when I voiced my concerns to the employees working behind the counter they did not seem to care. And would not do anything to resolve the issue. I asked if they where happy having a customer leave un pleased and they said they did not care. I took my business down the road to FOUNTAIN TIRE and was in and out in less than 1 hour !

Terrible service! This was the second time I have come here to switch my tires over and both times have been beyond disappointing. I thought maybe the first time was an off day for them but after today it is very apparent that this is just how they conduct their business. I was quoted 90 minutes for the change over, after an hour of waiting my vehicle still hadn’t been moved into a bay. I had to go and ask for a time frame which they seemed surprised it was still outside. (So they just completely forgot about me?) You are better off going anywhere else unless you want to completely waste an afternoon.

Took my vehicle in to have tires mounted on rims and put back on. Got a phone call from someone working on it, saying my shocks are all toast and my brake pads were close to failure point. And asking if they wanted them to take care of that for me at the time. Had a mechanic friend check both reported issues. Only 1 shock needed to be changed, and the brake pads were at 85% pad left. Not sure if they tried to scam me because I'm a woman, or if they try and scam everyone. Would not recommend.
